A socialist activist named Danilo Doci led protesters on a 25-day pilgrimage from Milan to Rome in opposition of the U.S. war in Vietnam.

I chose the preceding photographs solely for their introduction to my topic of international awareness and resistance to the war in Vietnam. While protesters in America came together in vast movements, many beyond the United States felt it equally a humanitarian crisis and unified against the mass loss of life in Vietnam. Protest of such injustice is not done for the sake of a country, or even for the loss of life. It is done for the preservation of justice in the world.
